How it works
What to expect
Getting started
Wear standard training clothing — shorts or tights, a t-shirt, and indoor training shoes (flat-soled shoes are preferred for compound lifts). Bring a water bottle. Before your first session, note any current or past injuries and your typical weekly schedule so the assessment can map your real constraints.
During your sessions
After your sessions
Each session ends with a brief debrief and a clear focus for the next one — what to monitor, what to log, anything to watch in recovery. Progress is reviewed across weeks rather than chased session-to-session, and the balance of training, sleep, and nutrition is revisited as your goals evolve.

FAQ
Common
questions
Where do personal training sessions take place?
In the finest private facilities in Marylebone and Mayfair, central London. A concierge service is also available, so you can train in your own home or private gym across Marylebone, Mayfair, and Wimbledon. The precise facility is confirmed when you book, based on your location and the slots available.
Do I need to be in shape before starting?
No. Will works with a broad range of clients — from athletes and young professionals to high achievers returning after long gaps. The starting point is wherever you are today. Your programme is built around your current capacity and lifestyle, never against an idealised standard you are expected to already meet.
How long is each session and how often should I train?
Sessions are 60 minutes. For most clients, two to three full-body strength sessions a week return the highest investment, but the right number depends on your goals, schedule, and recovery capacity. The cadence is agreed at the assessment stage and adjusted as your training history with Will builds over time.
What happens in the first session?
A conversation about your training history, injuries, lifestyle, and what you want from coaching, followed by a movement and strength assessment. You leave with a clear sense of how the programme is structured, what your first phase focuses on, and how progress will be reviewed — so there are no surprises in week two.
How much does personal training cost?
Pricing is provided on enquiry and depends on session frequency, location, and whether you train at a facility or by home visit. Send a message via the contact section or email info@waperformance.co.uk, and Will will get back to you within a couple of working days to discuss the right structure for your goals and budget.
